AES staff was recently invited to experience SANDALS and BEACHES Resorts.  If any of you know us, you know we like our space and we love our family style trips, where everyone has their space but has the ability to hang out together.

Well, I have found that at the Sandals and Beaches resort and a little bit more. To the crazy insane romantic, to the lovebirds, to the couples that want to let their hair down and party, to the family reunion, or just a family vacations, these resorts accommodate all visitors.

On our private tour, we visited JAMAICA.  Our first stop was Sandals Whitehouse.  Upon arrival at the airport and after making it though customs we were taken to the Sandals Club to enjoy a variety of drinks (all top shelf) and juices, as well as fabulous pastries, Jamaican dishes and more. Our luggage was tagged with our name and all we carried from this point was our purses.  After all the refreshments and a very cool club room rest, we were off to meet the bus to carry us to Sandals Whitehouse (there are other private options, but we wanted the full experience).

As we loaded the bus, the driver asked for any request of places to see or stops to make on our way.  He also asked if we all were comfortable with our beverages and seating.  The group asked for a "drink" stop along the way, since we had learned it was a 90 minute drive over the Jamaican Mountains.  As we began our tour our driver was more than entertaining.  When passing KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) the driver asked if we knew what it stood for...and of course we all came up with the American version. He informed us we were wrong and stated it stands for "Keep From Cooking".

If you are a bad car rider though the Georgia/Tennessee mountains this resort may not be for you.  There are over 30 curves over the mountain - it rivals the curviest roads of America.  Although, we did get schooled on Jamaica driving. The drivers are on the opposite side of the road from what we are accustomed to in America and the drivers of Jamaica play a lot of chicken with their pedestrians and vehicles.  And on our adventure, we learned all Drivers of Jamaica earn a PHD to be able to drive visitors around.  This PHD comes with the ability to be the best chicken player with an art at horn blowing (one of our guest asked if the horn was an anger thing or social media).  Additionally, the PHD takes extra practice in Pot Hole Diversions (PHD).  OMG the size of the pot holes on a 2 lane road is absolutely mind blowing.  However, the massage you receive on your backside is an experience in it self and the view of the country and mountainside is breathtaking and very eye opening to the Jamaican way of life.

90 minutes later, we arrived at SANDALS WHITEHOUSE.  We were greeted by the friendliest staff I have ever met and a white, mint smelling cool wash towel. You never now how great that feels after traveling until you experience it.  Our bags were unloaded and confirmed with each visitor.  We were then escorted Club Sandals Lounge where were we were checked in with a mimosa.  At this resort, we experienced Concierge Level accommodations.  What is Concierge Level Accommodations, well let me tell you - a penthouse room with an ocean view or a walkout to the ocean, a personal concierge to attend to your needs, a fully stocked bar in your own room, restocked without asking, bed turn down service and one of the comfiest beds I have slept in at a resort.
This was my view at Sandals Whitehouse.  Yea that is what I said, "Beautiful"  It only got better as the days went on.  I spent 2 lovely evenings at this resort.  I tested each and every dining area and even hung out in the Martini Bar...and found my favorite Martini....DOUBLE Dirty!

From this resort, we ventured to Negril, Jamaica.   We visited Beaches Negril and  Grand Pineapple Resorts.  Beaches is a resort that is a must for my dive family and my immediate family.   It has so much to offer I can not begin to name it all, but unfortunately, I was unable to stay at this wonderful resort but can guarantee you I will be staying her in the near future.

Our next stop was Sandals Negril, and I was so fortunate to experience a Butler Level Oceanfront Suite..
Butler service was to die for, my butler was able to help me find a cord for my gopro that I left in Georgia, as well as a bag of rice for my phone i dipped in the ocean (yea, what a shocker huh...I ruined another phone).
The beaches were never far away and the sand was always racked and clean.  Around each and every corner there was someone asking if your stay was all you hoped it would be.

Finally, I was able to try out the diving in Jamaica.  I was on a race against the storm Chantel.  There was no way she was gonna ruin my dive, so I headed down and signed up to check out the underwater Jamaica world.

NEXT UP PARTY!!!! BOAT!!!

As the rain began to pour and washed away a hot day, the party boat was being stocked in hopes the rain would pass and the party would return.

And guess what.....THE PARTY returned slowly.
Then Marla and I livened up the party when we exited the boat via the slide
