LEARN TO SCUBA DIVE
to reach the end you must take the journey!
New to SCUBA and not sure what we mean by open circuit(OC) or closed circuit rebreather (CCR)...
- Traditional SCUBA diving is open circuit - air we breath is compressed into a tank on our back and a regulator we put in our mouths with a mouthpiece allows us to breath underwater and exhale bubbles in to the water around us (sounds a little like Darth Vader). OC begins at recreational depths of ~60ft up to ~135ft. then progressing to technical depths below 135ft with mixed gasses with additional training.
- Closed Circuit Rebreather (although almost as old as traditional open circuit scuba) has taken the bubbles out of the water. CCR combined with Poseidon Se7en Rebreather Unit takes recreational diving to a whole new level. Now you do not have to get certified OC then progress into CCR. AES & Poseidon have the perfect gear to allow you to begin at recreational depths then move to technical depths if you so choose with just a reconfiguration of your gear and additional education.
